Hello,

My name is Mutsumi (“Moot-soo-me”).

I am a UI/UX designer who transforms complexity into intuitive journeys.

I am passionate about bringing design solutions to make products intuitive, accessible, and enjoyable for users.

My career background consists of 10+ years of print design. My experience includes visual design for the Amazon Japan website and package design for kids’ game products. Most of my work involves customer-centered design; I spend hours researching ways to gain empathic understanding of targets and their needs during the beginning of design process.

Who I am?

I’m originally from Japan where I started my first career as an assistant administrative. In this position, I took best advantage of the capabilities of my detail-oriented and well-organized skills. I proceeded to move to Canada for further schooling and now live in Seattle, WA where I began my second career as a graphic designer. My multi-cultural background helps me see things from different perspectives. I’ve been working as a part of a team for the most of my career, so I value collaboration and enjoy teamwork.
